Pipit NC

The Pipit NC from Sahajanand Medical Technologies (SMT) is a non-compliant balloon catheter engineered for precise coronary dilatation. Featuring a low 0.016″ tip profile, selective hydrophilic coating, and exceptional trackability, it requires significantly less force for navigation. Compatible with 5F and 6F guide catheters (for KBT up to 3.5 mm), it ensures reliable performance in challenging lesions.

The Pipit NC is a high-performance non-compliant PTCA balloon catheter designed for post-dilatation and complex coronary lesions. Its multi-layered polyamide construction combines robustness with a tri-fold design that ensures a low rewrap profile, enabling smooth retrieval. The selective hydrophilic coating on the distal shaft and balloon tip reduces friction, providing enhanced crossability through tortuous or calcified arteries.

The balloon delivers the lowest tip profile (0.016″/0.41 mm) in its class and demonstrates superior trackability—requiring up to 17x less force in long lesions, 2.6x less force in challenging anatomies, and 3.4x less force for retrieval compared to competitor devices. These features minimize procedural resistance and reduce the risk of guide catheter displacement, ensuring controlled, predictable performance.
