Cocoon Septal Occluder

The Cocoon Septal Occluder, developed by Sahajanand Medical Technologies (SMT) and manufactured by Vascular Innovations Co., Ltd., is an advanced self-centring, double-disc device designed for the transcatheter closure of atrial septal defects (ASD) to treat congenital heart conditions. Constructed from nitinol wire with a platinum nanocoating applied through nanofusion plasma deposition, it offers superior biocompatibility, corrosion resistance, non-allergic properties, and high radiopacity, facilitating accurate fluoroscopic deployment. With a 95–100% device success rate and 0% erosion in over 4,000 patients up to 43 months, it ensures reliable performance.

Material and Design
